Vrijdag 13 April staat de JC Todo weer op z’n kop! De avond wordt gevuld door live optredens van vier lokale bands. Iedere band heeft zijn eigen stijl, maar spelen allemaal binnen het genre hardcore en metalcore. Voor de kenners en liefhebbers beloofd dit dus een zeer mooie avond te worden.
Combined Fragments is de naam van een van de bands die op deze avond een bijdrage zal leveren. Zij maken stevige metalcore, waar de energie vanaf spat met zowel melodisch gitaarwerk als lompe breakdowns. Immobilize is een hardcoreband uit regio Gemert en Eindhoven. Een energieke en strakke show staat voorop bij de jongens van Immobilize. Make Em Drop is een hardcore band uit Tilburg die opgericht is in 2010. Met hun anthem ‘Popping Bottles’ krijgen de heren uit Tilburg hun publiek ontzettend goed op gang en houden ze ook meteen de rest van de set goed warm. Fatal Distraction is ontstaan bij een show van Terror, begin 2010 in Eindhoven. Deze sound van Fatal Distraction is beïnvloed door oude bands zoals: Warzone, Killing Time, Outburst, Tears Of Frustration.
De deuren zijn vanaf 20.00 uur geopend en de entree is 5,00euro. Iedereen is welkom om de livebands te bewonderen! Tot nu toe zijn vergelijkbare avonden zeer succesvol geweest. Kortom is het zeker de moeite waard om een kijkje te komen nemen. De activiteit zal duren tot 01.00uur en vindt plaats bij JC Todo aan de Jacob van Wassenaerstraat 69 in best. FATAL DISTRACTION
Everything began at a show from Terror, somewhere in 2010 in Eindhoven. Alain (guitar) and Rico (drums) came with the idea of starting a band after a couple of beers, Fatal Distraction. Alain knew a vocalist, Lucas, where he started a grindcore band with for fun. A bassplayer and another guitarist were hard to find and the first rehearsals where with the 3 of them.
The idea was to make oldschool-hardcore, but with their own sound. The sound of Fatal Distraction is influenced by bands like Warzone, Killing Time, Outburst, Backtrack and Cornered. Everybody in the band has their own preferences for the different kinds of hardcore, and that makes FD more various.
The lyrics are easy to understand and mainly based on personal experiences or things that happen in the world that they don’t agee with. Those are a lot of things, because the bandmembers come from 3 different countries.
DAWN OF MANKIND
Dawn of Mankind is a hardcore band from Eindhoven who have been in the dutch hardcore-world since 2003. With already 2 6-songs EP’s and a lot of good reviews in all sorts of magazines all over Europe these guys are solid like a rock.
From the moment they started they already knew what they wanted. Making a fine set of hardcore and don’t be the same as anyone else. For fans of Born From Pain, Sworn Enemy, Final Prayer and more.
RUNNING OUT
Fresh meat, just released a new demo and already going fast! The guys from Running Out come from Gemert and has 4 guys employed. They’ve already played a lot of shows in the region with As Enemies Arise, As Prayers Fail and For The Glory. Hardcore, punk and metal so it’s going fast!
MAKE EM DROP
Make Em Drop is a harcode band from Tilburg that started in 2010. They’re in the current line-up since 2011 and since then it’s going really fast. In the meantime they have a lot of shows on their name and they seem to be unstoppable.
With their anthem ‘Popping Bottles’ they keep their crowd going. If you like to party and a good set full of harcore, you’re good with Make Em Drop!
IMMOBILIZE
Immobilize is a harcode band from the region Gemert en Eindhoven. The current line-up was born in 2010 after a few changes in the band itself. A demo was recorded and released in the beginning of 2011. After that it all went really fast. A energetic and a perfect show is one of the top things for the guys of Immobilize.
Meanwhile the guys from Immobilize have played with A Wilhelm Scream, Death By Stereo, As Enemies Arise, Kill For Peace, NETFASTCORE and a lot more. They also had a weekendtour in France, where the Immobilize-virus is spreading fast.
De schrik van Woensel, de grafkop van Gestel, ook wel bekend als Lesley (ik dus) vier dit jaar net als voorgaande jaren een feestje in Kafee Aloys in Eindhoven ten ere van mijn verjaardag (die dus op 24 maart is).
Ook dit jaar zal er een avondvullend programma zijn en loop ik er natuurlijk zoals elk jaar rond 21:00 al strondbezopen bij.. Kom dus langs! Gratis entree en toffe bands.. Nee, geen open bar, als ik dusdanig veel geld had, dan had ik wel betere bands neergezet..
